The Todd Masters' Scholarship provides financial assistance to a
gay student with an Architecture Major.
Diversity Scholarships: Awarded to both
undergraduate and graduate qualified students from
under-represented populations. Awards range from $2,500 to $7,000.
To be eligible, you must
be enrolled at California College of Arts and Crafts (CCAC).

Awarded to gay, lesbian, and bisexual student
with a record of active service and involvements in the gay,
lesbian, or bisexual community.

Eligibility: City College students who are
publicly identified lesbians, gay men or bi-sexuals. Requirements:
 | Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher |
 | Be currently enrolled in at least six units
of college credit study at CCSF and have completed 12 units of
college credit at CCSF |
 | Submit two letters of recommendation,
including one letter from a college faculty member and one
letter attesting to gay/lesbian community service and/or to
creative, academic or other achievements of benefit to the
gay/lesbian community. |
 | Attend Chancellor's Award Ceremony. |
Criteria: Award based on academic
achievement, awards, activities, employment, service to the gay,
lesbian, bisexual or transgender community, and personal and
financial hardship. Awards: Two
scholarships of up to $200 each. Cannot be awarded to the same
person twice in the same academic year. Can be awarded no more

Applicants are encouraged to apply for as many
awards as they find themselves eligible for. Those applying for
multiple awards should limit their letters of recommendation to a
total of three. U.S citizenship is not required for any CLAGS
award. Fellowship winners may be eligible for U.S. residency
through CLAGS.

The Martin Duberman Fellowship
-- An endowed
fellowship named for CLAGS founder and first executive
director, Martin Duberman, this fellowship is open to
applicants from any country doing scholarly research on the
lesbian / gay / bisexual/ transgender / queer (LGBTQ)
experience. University
affiliation is not necessary, but the applicant must be able
to show a prior contribution to the field of LGBTQ studies.
Adjudicated by the fellowships committee of the Center for
Lesbian and Gay Studies. The
winner of the fellowship may be asked to participate in
CLAGS’s Colloquium Series the following academic year to
present his/her research project. |
 | The CLAGS Fellowship
-- A fellowship for a
graduate student, an academic, or an independent scholar for
work on a dissertation, first, or second book.
Open to intellectuals both within and outside the
academy who have demonstrated a commitment to the field of
LGBTQ studies. Intended
to give the scholar the most help possible in furthering her
or his work, the fellowship can be used for research, travel,
or writing support. Adjudicated
by the fellowships committee of the Center for Lesbian and Gay
Studies. The winner of the fellowship may be asked to
participate in CLAGS’s Colloquium Series the following
academic year to present his/her research project.

 | The James D. Woods III
Fellowship
-- A fellowship for an outstanding graduate student working in
any discipline at the City University of New York or in a New
York-area university, on the research or writing of a
dissertation whose subject is of importance to the field of
LGBTQ studies, broadly defined.
Women, minority students, and CUNY students are
particularly encouraged to apply.
Adjudicated by the fellowships committee of the Center
for Lesbian and Gay Studies.
The winner of the fellowship will be asked to kindly
submit a progress report about his/her research one year after
the award is granted.

 | Undergraduate
Student Paper Award
-- The Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies is
sponsoring a student paper competitions open to all
undergraduate students enrolled in the CUNY or SUNY
system. A cash prize will be awarded to the best
paper written in a CUNY or SUNY undergraduate class on any
topic related to gay, lesbian, bisexual, queer, or transgender
experiences. Essays should be between 15 and 50 pages, well
thought-out, and fully realized. |
 | Graduate Student
Paper Award -- The Center for Lesbian and Gay
Studies is sponsoring a student paper competitions open
to all graduate students enrolled in the CUNY system. A
cash prize will be awarded to the best paper written in a CUNY
graduate class on any topic related to gay, lesbian, bisexual,
queer, or transgender experiences. Papers should be between 15
and 50 pages and of publishable quality. |

These are limited income registration
scholarships for the annual Creating Change Conference.
Registration is available at $100 for anyone of
limited financial means. NGLTF offers some scholarships to
activists who would be unable to attend without further
assistance. Request a Scholarship Application Form by calling
202-332-6483 x 3301. Applications must be postmarked by August 1.
Student applications must be postmarked by September 15. A $25 fee
is required for all scholarship recipients. NGLTF does not
guarantee scholarships to all who apply.
