The NGPA Education Fund has been established to
provide educational assistance in the form of scholarships to
members of the gay and lesbian community who have expressed an
interest in an aviation career as a professional pilot.
Applicants must be pursuing a career as a
professional pilot. They must be accepted at or currently enrolled
in an accredited college or university with an aviation related
curriculum (aerospace, aerodynamics, engineering, airport
management, etc.) in pursuit of a degree leading to a career as a
professional pilot; or accepted to/currently undergoing a course
of study in a recognized professional pilot aviation training
program in an institution of higher learning, aviation technical
school, or a school that provides advanced pilot training under
FAR Part 141. Scholarship funds cannot be used to pay for the
basic Private Certificate; they must be applied towards advanced
fight training at a facility certified under FAR Part 141 or to
college tuition if enrolled in an accredited aviation degree
program.
