Biography

I have been involved in queer activism since my freshman year at Middlebury College, where it was hard to be queer, but easy to make a difference. My senior project involved playing the role of Solange in Genet's, "Les bonnes."

I began to do Queer Studies in graduate school at Brown University, and ended up writing my dissertation about Julien Green and Marguerite Yourcenar.  Despite being very out on my resume, I managed to get a tenure-track job at a school I like.

Currently, I teach French theater and other types of literature at the College of William and Mary.  I am planning to teach a queer literary history course in the fall of 2002.
