Overcoming Heterosexism and Homophobia : Strategies That Work (Between Men--Between Women)

Providing strategies that can be adopted by educators, counselors, community activists and leaders, and those working in the lesbian and gay community, the contributors discuss role-playing exercises, suggestions for beginning a dialogue, methods of "coming out" effectively to family members and coworkers, and outlines for workshops.

Biography

I'm an Associate Professor in the School of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University.  My primary practice and scholarship areas are: lesbian/gay issues, domestic violence, and group work.  I have a teenage daughter who is a special needs, older adopted child.
