OUTfront serves the entire Bates community
by sounding out on fundamental issues of sexuality and gender. As both a
student-run support group and a political organization, we facilitate
education and discussion of queer issues while working to change
intolerant and discriminating attitudes.

BGSA is an organization open to both queer
and straight students, faculty, and staff members. BGSA brings together
members of the Bowdoin community regardless of their sexual orientation in
an effort to make visible issues facing queer individuals at Bowdoin as
well as in the world beyond. In doing so, BGSA creates a supportive space
and serves as a resource for members of the Bowdoin Community who are
queer or questioning their sexual identity.
