Gender Issues Education Services, in the Department of
Student Life, works to improve campus climate by providing support
services for and raising awareness of issues affecting women, survivors of
sexual violence, and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered (LGBT)
students. Staff pursue these goals using the following strategies: support
and advocacy; educational programming; services and referrals;
information and resources.

The GLBA is an organization dedicated to providing
support for students, and interested non-student's alike. We have weekly
meetings aimed towards the goal of informing, educating and furthering a
strong sense of friendship and community among our members.

The purpose of University Alliance is to provide a
healthy, centered approach to gay and lesbian culture and awareness,
including the promotion of political, philosophical and social
interactions within the gay and other communities abroad which affect gay
people.

The purpose of this organization is to provide a social
environment for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, or Transgender (LGBT) students,
faculty, or staff at UTSA; to create a political forum for members to
lobby, educate and to create awareness of LGBT issues; to challenge the
stereotypes associated with the LGBT community; to provide a support
system for LGBT individuals with difficulties.
