Facades
by Alex Marcoux
Delight in this
tale of personal challenges, restrained love, and wonderful
rewards! "Facades is an
enjoyable, absorbing and original story that keeps you reading
from the time you launch into its first page until you land at its
unexpected finale. A convincing story of pain, malevolence,
reckoning and hope. A must read for anyone who doubts the
power of love or the fact that a perfect mate exists. A
touching account of several relationships tied together by the
entertainment industry and Sidney, a determined, sexy woman who
juggles her career, son, ex-husband and her feelings for a current
"untouchable" love interest. A strong soulful
account that any person can relate to on a number of levels, an
account of love found and lost and of living two lives, one
displayed publicly and one reserved to the private confines of
home. Facades is a beautiful narrative that
delicately reminds us of the unpleasant cultural taboos
surrounding innocent displays of same-sex affection and
devotion." -Raymond Hess, J.D., Attorney, Denver, Colorado
"Alex Marcoux's Facades is 21st Century Lesbian
Fiction which resonates with the emotions and struggles universal
to all. Joyful, sensual, heartbreaking and suspenseful, Facades
weaves the political and the personal into a story where truth and
love lead to transcendence over heartbreak, injustice and
prejudice. This book is certain to take its place among the
classics in lesbian literature." -Ellen M. Jansyn, MD, North
Barrington, Illinois
