Gaynet

GenderSexStudies

Gendersexstudies-l is an electronic mailing list sponsored by the Center for Lesbian and Gay Studies at CUNY (CLAGS) and hosted by the server at Brooklyn College. It is designed to enhance communication among teachers and scholars dedicated to the study of gender and sexuality.

 

GLB-NEWS

GLB-NEWS exists as a read-only repository of information for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transsexual, transgender and sympathetic persons. It is designed to present informational articles from a variety of source mailing lists in a single forum for quick and compact delivery.

 

GLBPOC

GLBPOC is a general discussion list designed to facilitate online discussion among g/l/b/t people of color and others, as well as about issues of interest to g/l/b/t people of color. The idea behind the mailing list is to create a space where issues of race and sexual orientation can be discussed in a supportive and non-threatening manner. People of color is a broadly defined term and GLBPOC is not designed to be an exclusive list.

 

GLBSO

GLBSO is the internet center for communication between Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans* and Supporters organizations at the scholastic and collegiate level. GLBSO reaches over 200 subscribers in all 50 states and many foreign countries.

 

GLBT-Workplace

glbt-workplace carries discussions about issues and dynamics for gays, lesbians, bisexuals, and transgendered people in the workplace.

Marriage

This mailing list is designed to facilitate activism and an exchange of ideas and materials on how gay people can not just win, but keep the right to marry. It is focused on the impact of Hawaii's BAEHR V. LEWIN court case on the other 49 states of the U.S. Due to BAEHR V. LEWIN, it is likely that Hawaii will have same-sex marriages within two years.

 

QN

QN is a mailing list for Queer Nation activists and for all interested in Queer Nation. The purpose of qn is to network among various Queer Nation chapters, discuss actions and tactics, and for discuss how to bring about Queer Liberation. Discussion on this list assumes the legitimacy of "in-your-face" tactics; discussion of the validity of these tactics is not welcome, and should be taken to more general gay forums.

 

QSTUDY-L

QSTUDY-L is a forum for academic discussions pertaining to queer theory, an umbrella term encompassing lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual/transgender studies. QSTUDY-L is also intended to promote networking and information sharing between teachers, researchers, librarians, and students -- anyone involved or interested in the field of queer studies. Posting announcements about relevant conferences or publications, calls for papers, job opportunities, or anything else relevant to the topic of queer studies is encouraged, though only subscribers may post to the list. It is hoped that QSTUDY-L will serve additionally as a repository for syllabi, bibliographies, and other items of interest relating to Queer Studies.

QUEERLAW is a list devoted to discussion, analysis and promulgation of queer legal theory and all other aspects of sexual orientation and The Law. The idea behind the list is to facilitate discussion between a diverse number of assorted groups ranging from law professors and law students to individuals interested in how The Law affects, and is affected by, sexual minorities.

Right Wing Watch Online is People for the American Way's every-few-weeks electronic newsletter on the Religious Right political movement.
