There are two simple ways to help visitors find your work:

1.  Authors Index -- If you have published texts in Queer Theory or related fields (Gender Studies, LGBT Studies, Women's Studies, etc.) that name you as an author and/or editor, your name can be added to the Authors Index.  But there are certain limitations to the Authors Index you should know about:  the scripts used to power the Authors Index will not find your work published in journals, nor will it find your contributions to works authored or edited by someone else.  Again, this index will only find texts that name you as the author and/or editor, texts that are available through various online booksellers such as amazon.com, powells.com, borders.com, buy.com, and bn.com.  Since these various online booksellers usually index only the primary author and/or editors, if your published work consists of contributions to texts authored and/or edited by someone else, or if you would like visitors to find your work published in academic journals, presented at conferences, etc., then you need to join the Scholars Index before your name is added to the Authors Index.  With the Scholars Index, we can bypass the strict requirements of the scripts used to power the Authors Index.

The More Powerful Alternative

2.  Scholars Index -- If you have produced work in Queer Theory or related fields (Gender Studies, LGBT Studies, Women's Studies, etc.) including work published in Journals, presented at conferences, work contributed to texts authored or edited by someone else, as well as work that names you as the author and/or editor, then you can join the Scholars Index.  When you join the Scholars Index, we create a page for you (at no cost) that provides information on various aspects of your professional career:  your institutional and organizational affiliations, your primary and secondary fields of study, your primary publications (books, films, recordings, etc), your secondary publications (journals, conferences, etc.), your current projects, your bio, and more.  With the Scholars Index, you can add and update descriptions, reviews, list new articles and essays, provide links to your websites, offer contact information, etc.  With the Scholars Index, we can even list your work that has not yet been published.  Not only does the Scholars Index provide a much more detailed outline of your work, but it enables us to add your name to the Authors Index, thereby utilizing the scripts that search the databases of the various online booksellers in a more exact and determined way.
