The Coalition for Lesbian and Gay Rights in
Ontario (CLGRO) is an organization composed of groups and
individuals who are committed to working towards feminism and
bisexual, lesbian, and gay liberation by engaging in public
struggle for full human rights, by promoting diversity and access,
and by strengthening cooperative networks for lesbian, gay, and
bisexual activism.

The major aims of the group are:
 | To give Transgendered persons the opportunity
to explore their gender identity in a variety of social
settings.
| To facilitate development of gender identity,
appearance and mannerisms through the experience of other club
members and organized activities.
| To provide peer counseling through a diverse
membership.
| To educate the general public about
Transgendered issues.
| To provide a support resource to partners. |

This group exists for Lesbians and Gay men with
children in the school system. They meet monthly.
|
|
The Lesbian Gay Bi Youth Line is a service
provided for youth, by youth that affirms the experiences and
aspirations of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, two-spirited
and questioning youth in Ontario. We are queer-positive and
non-judgmental, and provide confidential peer support through
telephone listening, information and referral services, and
through complementary outreach. By reflecting our diverse
cultures, abilities and experiences and celebrating our
potentials, we seek to create an empowering community of queer
youth across Ontario.

Our advocacy program promotes
better medical education and addresses misconceptions and biases
in medical institutions. We also work to combat homophobia and
heterosexism in the larger community.

The Ontario Human Rights Commission
is committed to the elimination of discrimination in society by
providing the people of Ontario with strong leadership and quality
service:

the Ontario Human Rights Code; and
| in the promotion and
advancement of human rights. |
