GALAXE - Pride At Work is the
gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered caucus group of Xerox employees.
The GALAXE
- Pride At Work Charter outlines their mission as follows:
GALAXE - Pride At Work is a formal organization for Xerox
employees (retired, salaried, hourly or non-direct), who are gay,
lesbian, or bisexual, or who support gay, lesbian, and bisexual
concerns. GALAXE - Pride At Work's mission is to offer support and
visibility within Xerox and beyond to its members, and to provide an
official point of contact between its membership and Xerox Corporation,
as well as with other gay, lesbian and bisexual organizations external
to Xerox.

The Gay & Lesbian National Hotline is the only non-profit
nationwide, toll-free information, referral and
peer-counseling line for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender
and questioning people. Over two-thirds of all our calls come
from young people in their teens or twenties.
We have the largest referral database of its kind in the
world, with over 16,000 local resources for cities and towns
all across the United States. Included in that list are youth
groups, support and social organizations, gay-friendly
religious groups, sports groups, doctors, lawyers and
counselors and many more.
We also provide direct-service peer-counseling over the
telephone if someone is going through a difficult time and
needs someone to talk to.

Founded the Lesbian Disabled
Veterans of America, later changed to the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, &
Transgendered Disabled Veterans of America. This Foundation was formed to
assure that Gay, Lesbian Bisexual, & Transgendered Disabled Veterans
receive benefits and services on a par with male & female heterosexual
veterans, encounter no discrimination in their attempt to access these
services, are treated with respect and dignity by VA service providers,
and to act as the primary advisor to the Secretary for Veterans Affairs on
all matters related to programs, issues, & initiatives for and
affecting Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, & Transgendered Disabled Veterans.
Our goals were developed to assess Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, &
Transgendered Disabled Veterans services within and outside the Department
of Veteran Affairs on an ongoing basis, to assure that VA policy and
planning practices address the needs of Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, &
Transgendered Disabled Veterans and foster VA participation in general
Federal initiatives focusing on Gay, Lesbian Bisexual, & Transgendered
Disabled Veterans issues. Coordinates volunteers who work in their local
communities to increase awareness of the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, &
Transgendered Disabled Veterans and who assist in recruiting volunteers
through registration efforts in their area.

GLAMA is the first and only
national music awards program to honor the work of lesbian, gay, bisexual
and transgender recording artists.
GLAMA was founded to recognize and reward outstanding
works from musicians whose out lyrics or identities as out artists may
have caused them to be overlooked, unproduced or underappreciated.
The awards focus recording industry attention on musical
excellence by honoring the achievements of out artists in a variety of
genre categories.

GLBVA is a not-for-profit,
chapter-based association of active, reserve and veteran servicemembers
dedicated to full and equal rights and equitable treatment for all present
and former members of the U.S. Armed Forces.

The Gay and Lesbian Medical
Association is an organization of 2,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual, and
transgendered (LGBT) physicians, medical students, and their supporters in
all 50 states and 12 countries. Founded in 1981, GLMA works to combat
homophobia within the medical profession and in society at large; to
promote quality health care for LGBT and HIV-positive people; to foster a
professional climate in which our diverse members can achieve their full
potential; and to support members challenged by discrimination on the
basis of sexual orientation.

G/LPEN's Vision:
To eliminate homophobia and discrimination against all sexual orientation
minorities, including lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employees,
and ensure that their diversity is respected and valued.
G/LPEN's Mission: To
serve as an advocate and resource for all sexual orientation minority
employees and advance their recognition and legitimacy within the United
States Postal Service.

GLSEN works to end this cycle of
bigotry in K-12 schools. Through its growing network of 85 chapters in 35
states, GLSEN strives to assure that each member of every school community
is valued and respected, regardless of sexual orientation or gender
identity. Founded as a volunteer group in Boston in 1990, GLSEN led the
fight that made Massachusetts one of the first states to ban anti-gay
discrimination in its public schools in 1993. GLSEN went national in 1994
and has since become one of the nation’s leading voices for equality and
safety in the educational system.

Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgendered
Employees at AMR (GLEAM) is a recognized Employee Resource Group with
representation on the AMR Diversity Council.
GLEAM's mission is to:
 | advocate gay, Lesbian, transgendered and
bisexual employee concerns in the workplace |
 | serve as a liaison between employees,
management and community groups |
 | serve as the employee resource committee
representative on the AMR Diversity Council for gay, Lesbian,
transgendered and bisexual employees |
 | partner with AMR in identifying and
maximizing opportunities in the marketplace |
 | promote a sense of community among our
members- and sponsor educational and cultural programs on issues of
interest to our constituents. |

The Gill Foundation serves as a catalyst and provides
resources for communities in pursuit of justice and equality, while
building awareness of the contributions gay men and lesbians make to
American society. Through grant making activities, technical assistance
and other special programs, the Foundation invests in organizations
serving the needs of gay, lesbian and bisexual people, and in community
programs designed to improve the quality of life for everyone. This
