Androgyny
: The Opposites Within (Jung
on the Hudson Book Series) by June Singer
Full
of psychological and spiritual insights that speak to today's
sexual confusion. Singer shows how a person can at once embrace
complementary and contradictory attitudes toward sex and gender.
Finally, she proposes a range of choices by which people can
identify themselves, secure that the masculine/feminine
interaction within each individual is not only normal, but the
dynamic factor in their wholeness. Index. Bibliography. Notes. 12
illustrations. Part of the Jung
on the Hudson Book Series. Androgyny

development, terminology, androgyny, gender theories and
more. Good introductory site.

In a perfect world, it would be just as
acceptable for males to wear traditionally "feminine"
clothing & make-up, just as females now wear clothes once
reserved for males. This site goes out to all the
beautiful M2F trannies out there (regardless of orientation):
TG's, TS's, CD's, DQ's & anyone else in between; plus those
who adore them.

This presentation will report a completed investigation into
relationships between androgynous sex role orientation (androgyny)
and perceived health, health behaviors, and well-being in older
women. While an androgynous role orientation has been associated
with successful aging, specific linkages for older women have not
been described. A simple randomized sample of community- dwelling
older women (N=70) was used, with women individually interviewed
regarding role flexibility (psychological androgyny), health
status, health behaviors, and qualitative well-being. Instruments
used were the Bem Sex Role Inventory, the Seniors' Lifestyle
Inventory, and the Integration Inventory. Descriptive statistics
will describe the background characteristics of the sample, with
Pearson product moment correlation coefficients specifying the
direction and magnitude of relations among variables. Results will
be summarized and interpreted in light of health care policy and
successful aging issues.
