Queer
Astrology for Women by Jill Dearman
Should
you worship the feet of your Pisces lover, or would the classic
lesbian backrub be more arousing? Does the Sapphic Sagittarius
really love you, or will she drop you for voracious Virgo? Jill
Dearman's new astrological guide to lesbian love (she's also
penned a companion volume for men) promises to enlighten readers
about the true nature and desires of the lovely women in our
lives. Leo likes a luxurious coupling, for instance, while Aries
will do it anywhere. Sagittarius is into contorted sexual
postures. Capricorn is obsessed with work. In the second half of
the book, Dearman describes the pleasures and pitfalls of each
astrological pairing, from the "body talk" when Aries
meets Aries to the "cheating hearts" of a double-Pisces
affair. Plotting your love life by the stars seems like high-risk
behavior, but maybe that's the cynical Scorpio in me talking. --

Queer
Astrology for Men by Jill Dearman
Jill Dearman provides readers with a dozen
templates for the modern gay male that could be viewed as
archetypal or stereotypical, depending on how you feel about
astrological profiling. "Cancer men in general have weird
mother fixations," for example, while Pisces "are
complete and total whores" in bed. She described what each
sign is like in life and in bed, then tells you "how to
seduce him," what you can expect on dates, "how to last
over the long haul," and--should it prove
necessary--"how to dump him." The second half of the
book goes through all 78 possible matchups to gauge their
compatibility, indicative of the book's implicit assumption that
the reader is looking for a long-term relationship. Dearman
addresses herself exclusively to the gay male; bisexuals will just
have to take their chances on whether her information applies to
them entirely, only by half, or not at all. -- Ron Hogan (Amazon.com)

I don't know about you, but I find love a
horrible exercise in futility. As a public service to our
community, I offer an easy guide to the love styles of the zodiac.
How do we love? Does a heart go pitter pat or kaboom? Should
Cupid's arrow aim at the heart, the stomach or the head? Get a
clue and reap the rewards...

This is not the final word on Queer Astrology.
In fact, it's probably among the first words. To my great
surprise, after diligent searching of the Net, libraries, and a
large number of bookstores, virtual and real, I'm coming to the
conclusion that precious few of us queer astrologers are speaking
our minds in public. I don't pretend to understand why this is so.
(Are you people all still in the closet?) Somebody has to kick off
the discussion. We either do this ourselves or it will be done for
and to us by the straights, and their astrological track record in
dealing with queers is, well, you already know about that, right?
You don't? Then check out the history link below. You may or may
not find some capital-T truth here (I'm a Virgo, not a
Sagittarian), but you will find a start as this person outlines
his exploration of a Queer approach to astrology and spirituality...
